Red Wine Ginger Berry Cocktail

This gorgeous cocktail is a flavor showstopper: fruity red wine, pomegranate juice, citrus-flavored vodka, blackberry liqueur, honey-ginger syrup, and… (drumroll, please)… mixed berry ice cubes. Boom — holiday spirit in a glass.

It may look too pretty to drink, but you really should; the vodka cuts the sweetness of the wine, syrup, and liqueur just enough so that you can really savor all the flavors.

Lipstick And Lunges - Red Wine Ginger Berry Cocktail

You can make the honey-ginger simple syrup and the mixed-berry ice cubes a couple of days ahead, so when the festivities start, all you have to do is pour and enjoy. You can buy flavored simple syrups or make your own: All you need to do is boil down water, honey, and ginger and voila — homemade simple syrup that you can use in all kinds of beverages, including coffee, tea, or this Lime Ginger Fizz cocktail.

Mixed berry ice cubes are even easier to make — just drop a single berry (or slice) in each section of an ice cube tray, add water, then freeze.
