Weeks 6 & 7: Bikini Booty Challenge

I took two weeks off from my schedule Master's Hammer & Chisel to test out SHAUN WEEK. If you haven't heard, the Insanity creator launched 7 brand new workouts exclusively on Beachbody On Demand.

I'm not going to lie, it was a blow to my ego to go back to intense cardio when I've been used to using weights for the past 5 weeks. I definitely had to push pause, a lot, when completing Shaun Week.

This program was designed as a 7 day program that is a mix of Focus T25 and Insanity moves. There were plenty of modifications for the moves that were super intense, which I decided to use for some of the more complicated moves.

Workouts (see a sneak peek of each workout here)

  • Day 1: Insane Basics

  • Day 2: Pure Cardio 2

  • Day 3: Insane Weights

  • Day 4: 25 Minute Abs

  • Day 5: Ripsanity

  • Day 6: Speed 4.0

  • Day 7: Dig Deep

All in all, this is an AWESOME program. It was challenging, and it's definitely going to be a go-to for me in between programs or when I am traveling. The majority of the workouts do not require equipment, which made it super easy to do in my apartment (and while traveling in Week 7).

Week 7: Travel Week

I was in Las Vegas from Monday to Thursday evening, so given my vacation schedule I decided to stick to cardio for another week. I was able to get some cardio workouts in during the week in my hotel room before my big concert.

I packed my Shakeology, iPad and sneakers to make sure I got my workouts in. I opted for Cardio days (30 minutes each) in Vegas - and thank goodness I could blast the air conditioning for the workouts because I was sweating like crazy!

Staying on track has always been a challenge when traveling, but making sure Shakeology is a part of my day has helped. First off, it's one healthy dose of vitamins that I get daily (and one meal already paid for). It's quick and you can even ask Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts to blend it into a shake for you. Secondly, it works WONDERS on hangovers. No, seriously. I had my fair share of vodka and shots, and when you fill your body with vitamins the next morning...it helps. A lot.

Next up (Week 8) is another week of travel, back home to Philadelphia for a week and a half. I'm meal prepping and making sure to get back on track with my Hammer & Chisel workouts (thank goodness my parents have weights at their house). So more to come next week!
