Weeks 8 - 11: Bikini Booty Challenge

AH, I'm just realizing it's been nearly a MONTH since I've blogged an update about my Bikini Booty Challenge.

Lipstick And Lunges - Lauren Beley

The good news is, I've been keeping up with my workouts! If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you've seen my updates and the fact that I have been traveling the past 4 weeks. I'm finally settled back down in Dallas for the next few months, which is a relief for me.

After 4 days in Las Vegas, I was back in Dallas for 5 days before I headed home to the Philadelphia area for 12 days. Then I was home for one night, and headed to New Orleans for 6 days. (Are you tired reading this?! I'm tired just typing it all out)

I stuck to working out at least 5x a week, however I wasn't able to keep going with The Master's Hammer & Chisel. My parents didn't have the type of weights that I needed to complete the workouts, so instead I opted to do cardio and light weights from my iPad.

The good news was, in New Orleans I was able to workout LIVE with my favorite Super Trainers! I attended the annual Beachbody Summit with my Team and had the chance to workout with Shaun T, Chalene Johnson, Autumn Calabrese, Joel Freeman, and more! Exercising in crowds usually isn't my thing, but I enjoy it when it's with my Fit Family that I know and love.

So many times my Online Bootcamp Challengers will get caught up if they "miss a day" or get off track with their workout calendar. And I get it - Ideally I wanted to finish this program earlier in the summer. But at the end of the day, I was still moving my body, eating healthy AND drinking my superfoods daily. So I did the best that I could, with the circumstances that I had.

I'm happy to report that I'm feeling great. Overall, I've still lost inches this summer - which is definitely a first for me. In the past I would always put on weight and inches throughout the summer and end in August feeling BLAH about how I looked in a bikini. Even after a week in New Orleans (insert: beignets and booze), I could feel and see my core. I've done a lot better with moderation and keeping my goals in sight.

I'm now finishing up Week 7 of Hammer & Chisel, and will be heading into Week 8 on Monday. So a little bit of a delay, but I WILL finish this program. I read that 70% of people that start a workout program don't finish it...while delayed...I will be part of that 30%.

Cheers to the final week!
