80 Day Obsession Meal Plan

Autumn Calabrese, the creator of the 21 Day Fix and the 21 Day Fix Extreme, created an 80 Day program to get you OBSESSED with results. The workouts target the butt and abs over 3 months using weights, sliders and bands for your legs. The program also comes with a specific nutrition plan to pair with the workouts you are doing 6 days a week.

80 Day Obsession is the first Beachbody program to introduce TIMED NUTRITION. As a part of the 80 Day Obsession Test Group this fall, I had a chance to follow the meal plan and workouts from August – October 2017. See my results here (spoiler alert: I lost 13 pounds and 13 inches).

What is timed nutrition?

Autumn has created a program that tells you what to eat, when to eat. There are approved foods lists, and specific instructions of what types of foods to eat before and after your workout (for example: eat a protein, healthy fat and veggie an hour before you workout). The meal pairings are spelled out clearly, and then you must eat every 2-3 hours throughout the day.

Was it a lot of meal prep?

In my opinion, yes. Before being a part of the Test Group, I was used to meal prepping for the majority of the work week but I would eat out on the weekends. I committed to 80 Day Obsession 100% and that meant meal prepping as much as possible.

It’s not impossible to do – I’ve found that repeating a lot of the same meals (same lunches on MWF, etc) can help a lot.

Are the containers the same as the 21 Day Fix?

Yes. You will still have colored containers to help portion out your foods. The approved foods list is different than the 21 Day Fix though (no approved chocolate or wine).

Were you ever hungry?

Honestly, no! I think a common misconception about following these programs is that you are on a “diet” and not eating a lot of food. This program is the exact opposite; I was fueling my body with healthy foods

Can I drink alcohol as part of the meal plan?

No, alcohol is not a part of the approved foods list.

What did you eat in a typical day?

My go-to foods each week included ground turkey, baked chicken, eggs, Greek yogurt, Shakeology, overnight oats, sweet potatoes, watermelon, strawberries, blueberries, broccoli, spinach, carrots, green beans and avocado. I’d mix it up here and there, but those were my staples.

Are there cheat days?

There are no “cheat days” with the 80 Day Obsession meal plan. The program was designed to get you “obsessed” with your nutrition and fitness to see real changes to your body.

Are you ready to get Obsessed?

Are you getting excited about the program release in January?! (New Year's Resolutions, YES!!!) If you'd like to join me and a bunch of others that will be trying the program for the first time, shoot me an email.

I'll be there every single day with tips, recipes and more!

This group is open to EVERYONE in the US, UK, and Canada that is not already working with a Beachbody Coach.
