80 Day Obsession: Month 2 results

Yikes, it's been 4 weeks since I've written a blog post update how my workout program is going. Well...I was a bit busy planning my WEDDING! Jordan and I decided to get married in a small, intimate ceremony on Friday, December 14. It was absolutely perfect.

Leading up to the wedding, I had been weighing myself weekly to track my progress following the 80 Day Obsession workout program and nutrition plan. And to be 100% transparent....it was driving me crazy. My weight was fluctuating because of stress and social obligations and it was taking a toll on my sanity. So I stopped stepping on the scale and just tried to do my best with my workouts and my eating choices.

Month 2 of 80 Day Obsession wasn't anywhere near perfect. Workouts are 6 days a week, and I would average 4-5 a week. I tried to do my best with early wake up calls, but skipped a few the 2 weeks leading up to my wedding. I was conscious of what I was eating, planned out treats and noted my energy levels when I ate and drank certain things.

Going into my wedding day, I felt GREAT. I got my wedding dress from David's Bridal (I used to work for their Corporate HQ). I picked a White by Vera Wang that had a flattering neckline, and a form fitted dress that flared out after my hips. I had the dress ordered to fit my bottom half and then alter the top (I'm pear shaped) and it fit like a glove!

I know there are a lot of "Bridal Bootcamps" or "Bride Diets" out there leading up to the big day. I stuck the course of what I would normally do:

-Start each morning off with a serving of fruit and my superfood shake

- Pack my lunch 4 days a week

- Aim to drink 1/2 my body weight in ounces of water, daily

- Exercise 4-5x per week- Give myself 2 unhealthy meals a week (not on meal plans)

I've found that following the rules above are what helped me lose weight in the first place (without going nuts and feeling like I was totally restricting myself). The 2-3 weeks leading up to the wedding I also did my best not to drink alcohol on the weekends. It wasn't easy (ha) but I do believe it helped my energy levels and productivity overall.

So what's next now that the big day is over?

The HONEYMOON!

We are traveling to Costa Rica for a private ceremony and our honeymoon. It's a little over 4 weeks away, so that will give me the exact time that I need to complete this program and to feel comfortable in my bathing suit with my husband (woah that is so weird to type haha). I plan to stay the course, cut back on booze in January leading up to the trip, and have a fantastic time!!
